When I started my egg freezing journey it never crossed my mind that I would ever write about the experience.
Egg Freezing just like IVF is a very personal experience and I had assumed the process would be relatively simple, I would do one or two rounds, collect 10+ eggs, keep the experience between a couple of close friends and family members and that would be it until I met Mr. Right and was ready to use the eggs. If only it had been that simple!
I decided a few months ago, 14 months into my journey, that I should share my story. I realized that there had to be other people in my position who were desperately trying to navigate the seemingly unchartered waters of egg freezing across boarders and that there really isn’t that much public information out there to help.
I realized that whilst on this journey, I had listened, read and experienced first hand so much about the process and had actually become quite knowledgeable about the topic. I felt that I needed to share my knowledge and try and help others who were where as lost and confused as I was 14 months ago.
Under ‘my diary’ I will try and capture my story, the highs and the lows as and when they happens and share with you what I hope will eventually be a happy ending to my journey.
