Note: I didn’t have blood tests done at every scan. The scan results usually determined when and what I needed to have my blood tested for. Keeping the blood tests to a minimum helped keep costs down a little.

The Emotions…
It has taken me a couple of weeks to be able to write about my emotions for this cycle. This is due to a combination of being stimulated for so long (16 days of stimulation injections) and feeling completely let down by my UK clinic due to a lack of continuity of care. This cycle I saw three diff
erent doctors. My doctor in the UAE was the same but my doctor in the UK was not. I knew he was no longer seeing patients but i was assured by my UK clinic that he was in the background and that it wouldn’t impact my care. I had raised concerns over this to my UK clinic and was reassured that all would be fine.
I don’t know if the follicle that was growing would have had an egg in it or not, but I do know that in the last few days prior to collection I should have been scanned and had blood tests regularly and I wasn’t. I saw one doctor upon my arrival to the UK on Wednesday 14 December and then another on Friday 16 December and then wasn’t seen again by either doctor until Monday 19 December at which point i had already started ovulating. I talk a little about my feelings during this time in my blog post but hearing that I had already ovulated and feeling that it could have been prevented was devastating especially so close to Christmas when all i wanted was to collect an egg or two.
